Where to Play The Flop Poker in San Diego:

Harrah's Rincon Casino

The Flop is a new table game and I've seen it only at Harrahs Rincon Casino, where it is usually a $5
minimum bet table.  The Flop is a game with huge bonus opportunities and little skill involved;  the only
decision you make is whether to play after you see your cards.

There are 3 bets:  2 are required to play and 1 is optional but required to stay in the game after you see
    your 3 Hole cards.

Players receive 3 cards and there are 3 community cards dealt on the board.  Players use the 3 cards they
were dealt and 2 of the 3 community cards to make their best 5-card poker hand.  The dealer determines
each player's hand so you don't need to know poker hands to play this game.

The Pot, Ante and Play Bets:

The Pot Bet: All the Pot bets wagered by the players at the table are won by the player with the highest 5-
card hand. The amount of the pot bet is equal to the table minimum. 100% of the pot bets are awarded to
the winning hand with no casino commission.

The Ante Bet: The Ante Bet is required to play the game.  You win this bet if you have a Pair of Jacks or
better and the bet pays even money for all winning hands.

Flop Play Bet:  You make this bet, which is equal to your Ante Bet, after you see your 3-card hand.  This
bet plays against the Casino for the House Pay Table,  If you don't want to make The Flop Bet, you will
lose your Ante Bet but will play for the Player's Pot Bets.  If you already have Jacks or Better or potential
for a big hand, you would play the Flop bet as premium hands pay large bonuses:

House Pay Table for Flop Bet
  • Pair of Jacks  pays 1 to 1
  • 2 Pair pays 2 to 1
  • 3 of a Kind  pays 4 to 1
  • Straight pays 10 to 1
  • Flush pays 20 to 1
  • 4 of a Kind pays 100 to 1
  • Straight Flush pays 500 to 1
  • Royal Flush pays 1000 to 1

It's important to remember when evaluating your hand that you must use all 3 of the cards that are dealt
to you and only 2 of the 3 community cards on the Board for your 5-card poker hand.  I mention this
because it's easy to forget this and think you have a better hand than you actually do by mistakenly
considering all 3 community cards with 2 of your cards.

I've seen players win huge amounts of money in this game by hitting 4 of a kind and straight flushes.  On
the other hand, I've played when I never even had a pair of Jacks or better in 15 hands!
