Best Casino Table Games
Top pick for Best San Diego Casino Hotel goes to Harrah's Rincon Hotel and Casino. I love their
pool view rooms in the Garden Tower and the focus on customer service. Customer service at
the hotel and casino is a priority for Harrah's and you can tell---I always feel like everyone who
works at Harrah's is happy I came and wants me to have a wonderful time.
HARRAH'S HOTEL: Harrah's has 653 rooms including 101 suites. The Poolside Hotel Rooms in the
Garden Tower are my favorite---fabulous views of the pool area, roomy with large plasma TV.
Harrahs recently remodeled rooms in the Garden Tower and the ground floor rooms are lovely
with private patios! I like being able to go outside and enjoy the private patio with coffee and
the newspaper in the morning.
Harrah's has a few suites on the ground level with huge private patios with a jacuzzi but I
understand that these rooms are reserved for high-rolling players.
By the way, be sure you get a pool view room in this building or you may find that your view is
an unattractive wall or roof.

HARRAH'S POOL: Harrah's Pool has a resort feel to it with a large poolside bar and restaurant
Cabana Cove. The Cabana Cove has very good food and reasonable prices and there is
poolside cocktail and food service.
The Pool has plenty of lounge chairs, cushioned couches, fire pits and a waterfall. The entire
pool area is smartly designed and spending the afternoon at the pool is a relaxing way to spend
the day. Cabanas are available for $100 per day. Play Blackjack poolside during the summer at
the new Cabana Beach Blackjack area wih six blackjack tables and a sand floor.
HARRAH'S SLOTS: Harrah's has more than 1,600 slot machines and offers all the newest slots,
including the new Monopoly SUPER MONEY GRAB slot game. Denominations starting start at a
penny and you'll find slots of Nickel Slot Machines here. There's a High Limit Slot Room with
Video and Slots from $5 to $100 with $2 to $5 Blazing 7 games.
HARRAH'S TABLE GAMES: Harrah's Rincon offers all the standards, such as Pai Gow (lots and
lots of tables), Blackjack, live Craps and Roulette plus Let It Ride, 3-Card Poker, Ultimate
Texas Hold em, Texas Hold em Bonus plus a new game called The Flop. Most of the games
are $5 going to $10 on the weekends (some to $15), and the dealers are professional, friendly
and knowledgeable. It's one of the best casinos for table game play.
HARRAH'S POKER ROOM: The Poker Room has about 12 tables with daily and weekly
tournaments and Bad Beat Jackpot. Harrah's has daily Texas Hold em No Limit Tournaments
with various buy-ins. Harrah's also hosts World Series of Poker Events in their Poker Room.
COCKTAIL SERVICE AND BARS: Superior cocktail service, bars and drinks with frequent special
menus and prices on premium liquor and cocktails. Most of the Harrah's bartenders pass my
bartender test....When they ask me what I want, I ask “what drink are you famous for?” If they
can't answer that question, I find a bartender who can!
HARRAH'S SPORTS PIT SPORTS BAR: Harrahs San Diego's new sports bar has 50 plasma tv's
with comfy seating in the lounge area and at the bar. It gets crowded on the weekend days so
arrive early for best seating in the lounge. The bar features Game King video poker and keno
machines and there is a small pit with a few blackjack tables and The Flop. For $20 an hour, you
can play the cool simulated golf game and there are two new multi-player Texas Holdem Poker
video slot machines.
HARRAH'S PLAYERS CLUB CARD PROGRAM is excellent for free rooms during the week and
discounted rooms on the weekend. You won't get many points for playing table games unless
you bet $50 and up per bet per hand. That's a little rich for most of us!
ENTERTAINMENT: The Oasis Lounge has free shows and headliners perform in the Pavilion. BB
King and Billy Ray Cyrus have shows in January and HEART will perform in the Pavilion in
February.
Harrah's Video Poker Bar has low pay scales; if you play Jacks or Better for a quarter at the
video poker bar, you get a measly 7/5 payoff. If you play for $1, $2, or $5, you get an 8/5
payoff. This is a shame because they have 3 video poker bars with talented bartenders & a fun
atmosphere. As mentioned above, it's disappointed that you won't get much in the way of
comps for table play in comparison to other San Diego Casinos.
